EFDI - European Forum of Deposit Insurers

 

The Auditing Association of German Banks is an associate member of the European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI). EFDI was established in 2002 with the support of the European Commission. In June 2007, EFDI adopted the legal status of an International Non-profit Association under Belgian law. Its registered office is in Brussels. The main objective is the promotion of european cooperation and the exchange to regulatory questions with reference to deposit insurance, investors compensation and crisis management. Representatives of the Auditing Association and its associated companies are invited to european conferences and lectures of EFDI as a competent partner regarding to questions of deposit protection. In addition they participate in working groups.

 

IADI - International Association of Deposit Insurers

 

The Auditing Association of German Banks is an associate member of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI). IADI was established in May 2002 as a non-profit organization constituted under Swiss law. IADI is separate legal entity domiciled at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel, Switzerland. IADI is a global standard-setting body for deposit insurance systems. It contributes to the stability of financial systems by enhancing the effectiveness of deposit insurance and promoting international cooperation on deposit insurance and bank resolution arrangements in active partnership with other international organizations. IADI draws upon its membership to provide guidance on the establishment or enhancement of effective deposit insurance systems. Representatives of the Auditing Association and its associated companies are invited to international conferences and lectures of IADI as a competent partner regarding to questions of deposit protection. In addition they participate in working groups.
