The Auditing Association of German Banks (Prüfungsverband deutscher Banken e.V.) is an important element of the private banking sector deposit protection system. Its activities contribute significantly to maintaining the stability and strengthening the competitiveness of private banks (in particular) and the financial community (in general).
On 5 April 2017, the assembly of delegates of the Federal Banking Association (BdB)
adopted a resolution, approving the proposal from the board, to reform
the Deposit Protection Fund.
Discussions on the draft regulation of the commission from 24 November 2015 to
establish a European Deposit Insurance System (EDIS) continue. A consensus has at this stage not yet been reached.
On 1 January 2017, the Auditing Association has successfully launched its Data Exchange Platform for European Deposit Guarantee Schemes - "Eddies".
